Macy grew up in a Christian home attending church since she was an infant. She attended a Christian school where there was a Bible emphasis. So she knew a lot about the Bible and about the Christian life. But in her later high school years, she wanted a little bit more. She wanted college-level courses from a distinctly Biblical perspective, not just the community college experience.

"I took some IBCS classes as a high schooler through IBCS's Early Start program. These classes showed me what being an IBCS student was really like. The Bible classes I took not only taught me so much, they also enriched my personal walk with God. Now that I am starting my first year at IBCS, I have a jumpstart on my degree and am excited to take more Bible courses because I know how much they will grow me, both academically and spiritually."

Taking a few of these early start classes has allowed Macy to experience first-hand what college life was like. Taking these credits in advance also will allow Macy to complete her college years with more flexibility in her schedule since her general academic load, especially her first year, will be a little lighter.
