IBCS offers classes mainly during three terms:
- Fall – late August through mid-December
- Spring – mid-January through mid-May
- Summer – mid-May through June
Classes meet throughout the week generally starting at 8:00 a.m. and finishing at 3:40 p.m. IBCS also offers several courses on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings during the fall and spring semesters. Summer term classes last from 2-4 hours per day and provide the same amount of instruction and credit hours as a regular 15-week class.
Occasionally, IBCS will offer a graduate or seminary class during a one- or two-week winter term. These classes are held on an as-needed basis. Ask the academic dean for more information if winter term classes are of interest to you.
Block Courses
Graduate and seminary summer courses are generally offered as one- to three-week block courses.
In the summer, undergraduate classes offered during regular semesters are completed in one- or two-week blocks allowing students to make up classes they’ve missed or to take classes earlier in their program to lighten the regular semester load.
